Green Sandpiper

Green Sandpiper

Normally the 1st Whitethroats of spring are passing through. But by its behaviour this male looks to be settled, displaying and with a female close by. This is my earliest patch record.

My 1st willow warbler of the year singing on Leopard Hill, Worcester. Always get the odd 1 or 2 passing through. Awful photo though 🙄. Blackcaps arguing over the most desirable territories. @worcswt.bsky.social #worcsbirds

I saw a broad winged raptor earlier near Much Marcle. The size of a female sparrow hawk or possibly a goshawk. However, it was pale underneath with hardly any striations. Any suggestions? It was flying low. #worcsbirds #herefordshirebirds
