The cover would be a full wrap-around cover, with the right half being the front and the left being the back, The scene shows a thunderstorm in the Windclan camp, puddles forming in the grass as cats panic. In the foreground is Tallstar, head turned to the viewer, with an intense expression. His long tail curls across to the other side of the drawing. In the mid-ground are three more cats. One is directly behind Tallstar's head, facing him and yelling something. Two more are positioned where his tail ends, looking at each other as they run towards the right. The background shows the final four cats in the scene. One sits worried in a cave, ears pinned back and tail curled around themself. A second, smaller cat stands with their back arched and tail puffed, hissing. A third is hunched over, coughing, ears drooping as they appear weak over all.
