First off, Emily Skolos. "Skolos" was a reference to a video game character (with 'los' being 'light' in Norse). And Emily apparently means... 'rival'. Hm.

Regarding the main 3; Sidra, Murabaa, and Tycho, none of them have special meanings behind their names.
It relates to the bonus question, but I dug around for ideas on names from Google searches. I didn't know what I what I wanted Sidras to relate to at all.

The protagonist of my third WIP is Divolka Makura.
In sanskrit Divolka means meteor and Makura means mirror. To the people of Dry Lake, who named her....

"Kraghtol" means, as far as Kragh know, "Bastard of a beast" in Orcish. It's not necessarily a very nice name, and his mother chose it for him.
He shortens it to "Kragh", because "Beast" is a bit better.
