Query: Anyone know what happened to the KFLG obs for Day 8 of #WxChallenge? They abruptly stopped at 3:05 PM MST on Friday. (As a result, that was considered the "Final" for Day 8.) Like, sure, whatever, but physically, what happened to the station?

For those who want to recreate the Time Cross-Sections that the University of Albany had on their former #WxChallenge Model Guidance page, you can in the upcoming version of FireWxPy. I haven't done WxChallenge since my senior year (2015-2016) but I used those cross-sections a lot when I did.

🌦️🏆🧑🎓 That's a wrap on #WxChallenge for the Fall-2023 semester: 10 weeks, 5 cities, 80 individual forecasts. ~~ Finished Raleigh-Durham, NC (KRDU, weeks 7 & 8) in 233rd place, and Traverse City, MI (KTVC, weeks 9 & 10) in 109th place.

🌦️🏆🧑🎓 #WxChallenge weeks 5 and 6: Decent recovery at Dallas/Fort Worth, TX (KDFW) following a disasterous first week of precipitation estimates. Finished 174/887 nationally and 6/26 in my class. ~~ For weeks 7 and 8, the competition shifts its focus to Raleigh-Durham, NC (KDRU).

🌦️🏆🧑🎓 #WxChallenge weeks 3 and 4: My results were nowhere near as good as the last time around. The Rapid City, SD airport code certainly lived up to its name. KRAP was 💩! Finished 308/916 nationally and 8/25 in my class. ~~ Onward to Dallas/Fort Worth, TX (KDFW) for weeks 5 and 6 of the competition.
