More recently, I also received a diagnosis of #YaoSyndrome (#YAOS), which is an autoinflammatory disorder (involving innate immune system, distinct from autoimmune disorders involving adaptive immune system). This one is thought to be rarer, affecting ~1 in 10k to 100k people.

For those interested: Auto*inflammatory* diseases appear to be distinct from auto*immune* conditions in that they arise via innate (vs adaptive) immune system, & have only started to be recognized clinically in past 5-10 yrs.
