At the Kiyōken Yokohama Factory photo spot. Taken from the inside of a train that once ran at the old Yokohama Station. Through the window stands the “Shūmai Uri (Shūmai Seller)” mannequin with a hat. On the window ledge sits a plush “Hyō-chan” wearing a yellow hat. Hyō-chan, a soy sauce dispenser character by YOKOYAMA Ryūichi, celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2025. Currently, there are 98 varieties of the 70th Anniversary Hyō-chan (49 large and 49 small, in 7 colours × 7 facial expressions) as well as 14 golden 70th Anniversary Hyō-chan (7 large and 7 small).

On the right is the “Shūmai Musume (Shūmai Girl)”, wearing a red Chinese-style dress with a sash reading “Shūmai Musume” and holding a basket filled with boxes of Shūmai. In the past, at Yokohama Station, passengers could actually buy Shūmai from these sellers through the train windows while still on board.

At the front of the Kiyōken Yokohama Factory. In the back stands the factory building, and in the front, a block wall holds a metal sign engraved with “Kiyōken Co., Ltd. Yokohama Factory.” It already feels as if a steamed Shūmai aroma is drifting out.
