After 45 minutes of arsing around with the #Yoti face scan app because I want to read my #Bluesky DMs, I can confirm that I don't have a real face. Turns out I've been a hallucination this whole time. Sorry to anyone who's made eye contact with me. It was probably just pareidolia.

So, I've taken a great leap of faith in #BlueSky & #Yoti by letting them scan my face so I can continue to get DMs. I was very reluctant but I want that flexibility. Allegedly the photo is immediately deleted. (The alternative was my credit card)

Too much trust is asked of us, and so little earned.
