Your Museum, Your Millage • How the Castle Museum Opens Doors for Everyone On any given Tuesday at noon, the Morley Room inside Saginaw’s Castle Museum comes alive. A small crowd gathers with sack lunches, a few cups of coffee steam gently on the tables, and a guest speaker takes the floor. The topics? Everything from the history of tomatoes to the forgotten stories of Saginaw landmarks. The cost of admission? Absolutely nothing.

We’re taking part in #Museum30 and so let’s kickstart with the #YourMuseum tag!

Who are we?
We were founded in the 1960s by the Egham Historical Society. We cover a large area, including Egham, Egham Hythe, Englefield Green, Virginia Water, and Thorpe.

Newspaper cutting, probably from the Times, referring to the Met Police Historical Collection, the original name of the Metropolitan Police Museum. It reads "The Bow Street Museum - Story of London Police - from our special correspondent / Bow Street police station, which has a unique place in the history of London's police forces, has now been equipped with a museum. Many of the exhibits have been sent to Bow Street in response to an appeal for objects of interest made by the Chief Superintendent (Superintendent A. W. Rowlerson) in a letter in The Times of September 21, 1949."
