This is one of the many magnificent old trees in the High Point neighborhood of West Seattle. My full-frame lens selection does not include anything wider than 28mm, but I needed a wider angle for this shot, so I used a Sony 16-50mm "kit lens" that is normally attached to my very old Sony NEX-6 APS-C camera. Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras automatically switch to an APS-C crop when you attach an APS-C E-mount lens, reducing the pixel dimensions accordingly; in this case from 42 MP to about 18 MP, which is still enough for large print sizes.
