The #AdorationOfTheMagi or #AdorationOfTheKings or Visitation of the Wise Men is the name traditionally given to the subject in the #NativityOfJesusInArt in which the #threeMagi, represented as kings, especially in the West, having found Jesus by following a #star, lay before him gifts of #gold.

A painting of a busy outdoor scene with people, horses and soldiers. In the lower left corner sits the Virgin Mary, holding up the Baby Jesus who stands on her lap, holding out his left hand in blessing. At their feet kneels a white-haired and -bearded king in a gold cloak, cupping Jesus' right foot in his right hand. Just behind the king, someone holding a gold crown in their left hand, gives a gold horn (containing a gift?) to a haloed Joseph, who stands behind Mary holding a small chest in both upraised hands.
