I've run a hobby (gone mad) website since 2003. When Google #Adsense started, I'd two simple ads per page and it became a lucrative hobby - €1000+/month. As ads became more intrusive that plummeted. For the last couple of years €25-40/month.

I've taken all ads off and honestly it feels so good.
