Having lost his family in a freak accident and his first love to a violent conflict before he even graduated high school, Kaedehara Kazuha approaches his eighteenth birthday with optimism - his adulthood stretches before him with the promise of freedom and tranquility after the raging waters of his teen years. As though the fates themselves wish to bless the occasion, a pop-up punk concert takes place exactly on the night of his birthday. There, he meets Aether: a student like himself but already popular across the town for his good looks, shining personality, eagerness to help, and of course, athletic achievements that a small town like The Jade loves boasting with. Getting along is not unexpected; they are both friendly, and the spark between them is undeniable. What's unexpected is that the spark would explode into flames, burning through their facades until their most surreptitious imperfections are exposed to one another, making them the only people who know each other in a town who knows of them both.
