A 5-panel Deltarune fan comic. In the first panel, Toriel and Alphys are outside the school at lunch time, mid-conversation. Toriel says "And I had to cut down all the foam boards to an even size with an X-Acto knife before giving them out for the craft project..." In the second panel, Alphys says "Is... I guess that's just part of the job when you're teaching the little kids?" and Toriel replies "Alphys, it was not one of my students who chewed it." (Jockington is visible in the background unhinging his jaw to swallow a hot dog) In the third panel, Alphys asks Toriel "Um, did an animal get in your house?" And in the fourth panel, Toriel replies "I... think it may have just came like that at the store and I did not notice because it was in a multi-pack." She remembers pulling aside the shower curtain at home to find Kris (already dressed for school) chewing up the edge of one of the foam boards and only being able to ask "Why... are you doing this?"

Page 1: Alphys is sitting at her desk in an office area at school, eating a cup of instant noodles. Toriel peeks her head over the desk and says, “Oh, Alphys, remember we must all re-take our mandated reporter training by the 15th.” Alphys replies, “Y-yeah! I was partway th-through mine…” (An additional note with an arrow pointing towards her reads “was watching anime at the same time”) Alphys goes back to the video and clicks on it. It starts midsentence: “…alnutrition in monsters can be easy to miss if you don’t know what you’re looking for…”

Page 2: Alphys sits back, eating her noodles and listening. “Monsters that grow scales, horns, continuous teeth, etc May have special mineral needs to accommodate.” At this, Alphys remembers a time in her childhood where her mother chided her: “Alphys, eat your bones or your scales won’t come in healthy!” Naturally, young Alphys responded with “No!” The video continues playing: “If these needs are not met, the child may show unusual cravings or eating habits.” Alphys becomes nervous at this, thinking to herself, “…wait a minute” while comparing her childhood self, who began chewing on gravel due to her refusal to eat bones, to Susie’s habit of eating chalk.

Page 3: A diagram of Susie flashes through Alphys’ mind, labeled with various indicators of abuse and neglect, including hygiene issues, wearing the same clothes every day, those clothes being oversized and in poor condition, her aggressive behavior, joking about self harm, chronic tardiness and absence from class, not seeming to eat much actual food, and others. As she contemplates this, she sits in uncomfortable silence for a while, dwelling on her prior treatment of Susie and her perceptions of her.

Page 4: Toriel sits in her office doing paperwork, and is startled by an off-screen Alphys loudly shouting “FUCK” several rooms over.
