I guess that's just part of the job when you're teaching the little kids?" and Toriel replies "Alphys, it was not one of my students who chewed it." And in the fourth panel, Toriel replies "I... think it may have just came like that at the store and I did not notice because it was in a multi-pack." She remembers pulling aside the shower curtain at home to find Kris (already dressed for school) chewing up the edge of one of the foam boards and only being able to ask "Why... are you doing this?"
