Photograph shows the rocky coastline of Amlwch with East Mouse Island offshore. This island is the site of the wreck of the SS Dakota, built in 1874, which struck the island and sank on 9 May 1877. The 4,332 ton ship broke into three pieces but all 218 souls on board were saved.

Our Lady Star of the Sea and St Winefride (Welsh: Mair, Seren Y Mor a Santes Wenfrewi) is a Roman Catholic church in Amlwch, Anglesey. It was built in the 1930s to a design by an Italian architect, Giuseppe Rinvolucri, using reinforced concrete. The church is loosely in the shape of an upturned boat, possibly reflecting Amlwch's maritime heritage. The glass inserts over the roof provide internal illumination

It's good to look back on old work. This is "A Crack In The Record" part of my body of work for my MFA. The copper ink is flaming gloriously in the light of a sunset.

The #drawing is inspired by my exploration of the currently disused railway line to #Amlwch, on the island of #YnysMon (#Anglesey).

So that was a pretty amazing weekend at #AMLWCH
