After some deliberation (and some thematically appropriate mental health struggle) I've decided on a winner for #amygdalaDTIYS 🎉

@holobunny.bsky.social crushed it by capturing the spirit of the original in a similar composition, but the slime, diversity of hands, and subtle palette elevate it ✨

A traditional, mixed media art piece involving painting with water-soluble markers, black ink pens and coloured pencils crayons. The image shows an orange face being attacked by three pairs of hands. The hands grip at the person's skull, pulling their eyelids up, around the neck and the collar bone. The person's face is ambiguous but they look to be in great pain.

I decided to use water-soluble markers to paint the base colours of orange and yellow into this piece before working in to it with black & white inks and coloured pencils :)
