A dynamic vintage 1960s 70s handmade copper enamel abstracted modernist platter artwork by Anita Trottier of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. One of the most stunning enamel artworks that I have seen in quite a while, and in such great shape! Trottier seems to draw from indigenous Cree artworks as well as abstract modernist artworks to create a unique design idiom in her enamel art! Anita Trottier was a self-taught artisan from Quebec who worked from the 1960s to the 90s, and her pieces are all one of a kind unique masterworks in the enameling art! She also made jewelry, though I have seen very few examples. Measures 9.75" diameter by 1.25" high at rim. Signed at back as shown, "A. Trottier Mtl. Que." In excellent vintage condition.
