LisaGUI’s "startup from" menu - a drop down menu with three different options listed vertically. Each option contains, from right to left, an icon representing the disk, and the text of the disk’s name.
This menu is now fully implemented. You will be able to access it by holding down the "s" key as soon as the system starts up.
The first option, "Install Diskette," is the same temporary volume created the first time you start LisaGUI (or if no other volumes are present).

🗞️ 1983: Apple presenta el #AppleLisa uno de los primeros ordenadores personales comerciales con interfaz gráfica de usuario y ratón.
Estableció precedentes de diseño de interfaces que influenciaron directamente al Macintosh . 🖥️
A dark, starry background graphic titled “Milestone Monday” with the date “January 19th, 1983.” At left is a photo of an Apple Lisa computer on a desk with its monitor and keyboard. At right, text explains that Apple released the Lisa, a desktop computer with a revolutionary graphical user interface that influenced later Macintosh computers and PCs. The bottom of the image displays “vintage.computer.”
Milestone Monday: Jan 19, 1983. Apple released the Lisa, bringing a graphical user interface to the desktop. Costly at launch, but its ideas shaped the Macintosh, and modern PCs, for decades. #AppleLisa #VintageComputer
💻 #OTD in #Tech #History 19 January 1983 – the #AppleLisa, the first commercial personal computer from #Apple Computer to have a graphical user interface and a computer mouse, was released. Despite poor sales, it won technical acclaim.

An Apple Lisa 2/5 is now fully functional, except for a wonky keyboard that’s waiting for a foam and foil set from TexElec. I’ve wanted one of these since I was like ten. Words cannot express how stoked I am. #applelisa #retrocomputing

🖱️ Debuting in 1983, the Apple Lisa was the first commercially available computer with a GUI. Expensive and sluggish, yes. Its innovations in windows, menus, and the mouse directly paved the way for the Macintosh. 🍏💻 #TechSpecTuesday #VintageComputing #AppleLisa

For the next build, I've made some improvements to the way pixel-aspect-ratio scaling works. 3:4 PAR mode now displays pixels that are exactly 3px by 4px on a 2X high-DPI display.

The status area menus can now be customized a bit. The FPS counter will be off by default. Screenshot options have been moved into a separate menu.
Hopefully my Polaroid camera icon reads well enough... I suspect I'll have to revise it once or twice... :/

Pushed a new build with an adjustable pixel aspect ratio. Options include 2:3, 1:1 (square pixels), and 3:4 (closer to what you'd get using the very rare Lisa CRT alignment graticule). I also threw in 2:1 just for kicks.

Fun fact: On the Lisa's calculator, if you click between the buttons you will get a dialog window stating that you didn't actually click a button. I'll leave this in unless people complain about it!

You can now switch the units used to measure file sizes. The default is still metric units; you may also use binary units (kibibytes) and "blocks." One "block" is equal to 512 bytes; this was the storage unit actually used on the Apple Lisa's OS.
