Speaking of giant quilts … here’s a fun quilt top I pieced together years ago.
The only thing I don’t love about the pattern is that it requires a specific ruler to cut the different angles. I tend to agree with Alton Brown … single-use gadgets are for the birds!

My next project is to turn this beauty into a king-sized quilt. I pieced it together a while back and it is currently 72”x72” … so I need to add 20 more blocks and a whole lot more inches!
(It sure didn’t take me long to buy more yardage, did it!?)

Do you remember your first quilt?
Mine was this T-Shirt quilt. The seams don’t match up, the sashing is all different sizes, the quilting is coming apart … but everybody has to start somewhere! It is still one of the most loved quilts in our house.

Something I like to do every time I clean my sewing machine and replace my ‘ledge’ is ensure my 1/4” seam is accurate. Do you do this too?
