Big Berry Manzanita (Arctostaphylos glauca) can live for over 100 years but doesn’t begin to fruit until around age 20. Its seeds need fire to germinate, and it produces large, edible berries.

Years ago I was roasting bigberry manzanita nuts to break dormancy and thought it smelled good and wanted to try roasting it like coffee. I'm trying one batch with anaerobic process and one washed process.
