1. A flower being held upright in profile, showing its form - like a baloon wine glass at the bottom, opening up into three petals that stand up from the bowl. The petals are maroon and chartreuse on the outside, heavily furred with long white hairs. On the inside it is the same green but densely covered in short sparkly maroon hairs to the point where the wine glass part starts. The reproductive parts of the flower are shletered inside this structure; the pistil is six-fold and starlike and the stamens are at the base of the pistil. Beetles are encouraged by the long hairs on the outside to enter the flower and poke around in the pollen, and then presumably deposit it on the pistil while trying to escape.
