Another thing about this "Vtubers are playing a character" thing. I am fictosexual in an asexual way, meaning I'm attracted to fictional characters and not real-life people (unless I have a strong emotional bond with certain real-life people, aka demisexuality). I don't see a person's Vtuber model as a fictional character because, to me, their model represents who they are IRL. Even if they are pretending to be a fictional character, behind that model is still a real-life person.
