She's scheduled to move from Nogeyama Zoo to Zoorasia.

She has a cute face.

Her neighbor, Sanpei, eats fruit with the peel on, but Komachi peels it before eating. 🐻

Sanpei, commonly known as San-chan, is characterized by the ring-shaped pattern on his chest. He was successfully transferred from Nogeyama Zoo to Zoorasia on March 9, 2026.

On 28 Feb 2025, two orphaned #AsiaticBlackBear cubs were rescued & admitted to CWRC, #Assam. After months of care, they were moved to Dehing Patkai NP by Assam Forest Department, WTI & its partner @ifawglobal.bsky.social
for rehabilitation with efforts underway to send them #BackToTheWild
