Went to Mount Tahoma (Mt. Rainier for those that speak colonizer) this past Sunday with my Boo in red and my best friend the one in Black on a lazy middle aged hike. I’ll post more pics in a bit.

An out of focus picture that is just a gradient of blue at the top going to grey-brown at the bottom. A faint white halo in the middle which was a Great Egret.
When you click too quick and the auto focus is still asleep - but the picture looks quite cool anyway... For those that spotted it was a Great Egret - well done indeed! #Photography #BadPics #Outoffocus

Oh, such an embarrassment of choice. I'll go with ones I haven't posted before: here's a Red-breasted Nuthatch (2 pics), a Black-capped Chickadee, and a Swamp Sparrow.

I can't decide if this is a "bad" photo, but it's not what it could have been. I had been shooting this Pelican perched on one of those posts, and when it launched itself, I instinctively started panning without first rotating the camera. I'm not likely to get another chance this decade 🪶

Perfect timing for the bad pics train!
This weekend I saw two lifers in San Francisco: a Cape May Warbler and a few Scaly-breasted Munias. They weren’t too enthusiastic about being photographed so I only got some bigfoot quality shots :/

I used to be able to take a photo thru porch rail posts. Now it's random as to whether the settings are good. The bird is a tiny bit blurry...

Oh, so many #badpics to choose from! I have a soft spot in my heart for this one, a Forster's Tern being photobombed by a swallow. It's out of focus, over-exposed, but it still makes me smile.
