In the wide bottom of a golden yellow composite flower, two metallic green sweat bees are mating. The larger female at left is a glittery emerald green all over; the smaller male behind her is a more yellowish green and has a distinctive yellow and black striped abdomen.

In the bottom of a yellow composite flower a large brown and white fuzzy bee with huge pollen pants is foraging beside a much smaller shiny black bee. The larger bee has one middle leg fully extended out and pushing against the smaller bee, keeping her at a distance.
