Little is known about what causes it or how to prevent it. HLA-B51 antigen, and a few other tests are helpful in diagnosis, but there is no test that confirms #Behcets, which makes it difficult to diagnose. Additionally, it's comorbidity with HSV, so genital ulcers are misdiagnosed.
