In case youβre wondering, in the #DoubleIndemnity pic the car that Barbara Stanwyck is pictured with is a β37 LaSalle Touring Sedan, & the cars in the #BlessThisHouse pic are a β72 Ford Cortina Mk3 Estate & a β71 Ford Zodiac Mk4 Saloon. (2/2)
After 2 sociable & boozy days - #ChristmasDay & #BoxingDay - today Angel & I are relaxing at home watching films together. So far weβve seen #DoubleIndemnity (β44) & #BlessThisHouse (β72), which couldnβt be more different but were both hugely enjoyable. I liked the cars, too. (1/2)

Review of bless this house on letterboxed Excellent entertainment. Loved this TV series as a kid. Saw this movie spin off again after many years as it was on TV at Christmas. If you like Carry On films then this is your thing. I still found it very funny. Some might say it is a timeless depiction of British culture. It never ceases to impress me that Sid's wife (Diana Coupland) was the one singing 'Under The Mango Tree' in Dr. No - so essentially an early Bond girl (in voice only).
Superb #movie! #BlessThisHouse
10656. #BlessThisHouse "Misery on 34th Street" - From the brief time when Andrew "Dice" Clay tried to soften his image w/a blue collar family sitcom. It's pretty grating, and Elaine Stritch guest stars as an even more grating grandmother character. It tries, mostly. (C)
