a cormorant flies low over the Lullwater in Prospect Park, its back glowing in the afternoon sun. Most of its reflection on the surface is visible, the image is overall not especially sharp or well-balanced in its composition.

a very blue and very grainy/noisy frame with an Osprey in flight or hovering in five different positions and distances. In the center two instances overlap and it kind of is dense enough to scan, but the other independent shots are weak ghosts. Even the clear sky afternoon sky is a deep blue.

OK I'm gonna take 5 exposures. So I'll set EV -2.0. That math works for some compensation of the sky light. Oh, I see. The metering was completely wrong. "Advanced 3D-matrix metering trained on thousands of scenes" my left foot.
