Black and white linoprint of two boxing hares in a ploughed field with swirling windy sky

Black and white linoprint of two boxing hares in a ploughed field with swirling windy sky

Hi all
First full proof of my latest print. Something a little different, single colour and a slightly different style to my usual animal prints.
It may become a multi block.
Happy printing!

Hi all
I have a couple of lino projects on the go, one is a reduction at the ‘ugly duckling’ stage of print. The other is this single block at the cutting stage. I’m trying something a little different to my usual style, really enjoying the process 😊

Hi all
Started cutting the block today, lost myself in the details but we are in the Buttermarket at Hay tomorrow and Swansea marina on Sunday so this is going to have to wait until Monday : (

Hi all
I have a print on the go which I’m hoping to get back to next week, in the meantime I’ve worked up an initial sketch into this full size drawing ready to transfer to the lino.

Today's doodle prompt is fierce

Don't discount the little fella just yet, he's tougher and fiercer than he looks

Between February and April with the onset of the mating season, brown hares engage in the most energetic and elaborate courtship. This often culminates in frenzied chases across the open fields and impromptu "boxing" matches, where females repel males by striking them. This seemingly wild behaviour ensures only the strongest males mate and where the term"Mad March Hares" originates from.

Walks along the Suffolk fields & an energetic courtship unfolds between two hares, otherwise known as "boxing."
