A huge mountain covered in snow and ice towers over the surrounding landscape. The valleys are all the muted brown colour that's prevalent at moderate to high altitudes in the Himalaya.

The mighty #AmaDablam as seen from the trail to #Gokyo

In my opinion, a more impressive #mountain than Everest, although its #summit is around 2,000m lower.

Even from this elevation, at around 5000m, the summit of #Everest is still over two vertical miles above us.
