A mountain peak stands out in front of a near-cloudless sky. Many ridges, flutings and crenelations can be seen in the snow. A wooden footbridge crossing a river in Nepal, used to convey both trekkers, locals, and animal traffic on the march to and from the base camp for Mount Everest. On the far side a steep and winding climb proceeds to the village of Namche Bazaar. The bridge rails on either side host countless prayer flags added over time by passersby’s.

A huge mountain covered in snow and ice towers over the surrounding landscape. The valleys are all the muted brown colour that's prevalent at moderate to high altitudes in the Himalaya.

Alpenglow light illuminates Ama Dablam (6856m / 22,493 ft), Nepal.
