『Big and Small and In Between』　アメリカの絵本。Big とSmall、そしてBetweenなモノ、コトが3つのパートにわけて描かれているんだけど、ここでは大きいこと、小さいことは単純なサイズでないんです。経験的な感覚とでもいったらいいだろうか。文をつけた作家のカーター・ヒギンズ（　＃CarterHiggins　）の言葉とダニエル・ミヤレス（　＃DanielMiyares　）のイラストが和音みたいに響きあう。とりわけBetweenがおもしろい。中間というかあいまい、安定と不安定の過渡期みたいな瞬間を表現している。拾い読みしているとたちまち時間が過ぎてしまう。
