This rhetoric of justifying #CEAS in the name of democratic order, supposedly standing for a new kind of toughness (which is by no means new in #EU) while at the same time relying on ever more adventurous deals with autocracies, ultimately making oneself dependent on them, still blows my mind.

😅 Your Party perhaps? I joined GPEW last month, although I've liked the party much longer. German Greens nothing alike: in favour of #CEAS, which prompted @proasyl.de leaving the parh, they also implemented border checks Sept. 2024. German politics makes me pretty homesick.
Agreements with third countries could now be enough to carry out deportations. This could deny people access to proper asylum procedures in the EU.

Diese Aussage erinnert fatal an den ehem. Verkehrsminister Scheuer, der wegen einer "anderen Rechtsauffassung" sehenden Auges die MAUT vor die Eand fuhr (Quelle s.u.).
Dieses Verhalten schwächt #Europa, sabotiert bereits um Vorfeld der Einführung das #CEAS & wird der #AfD weitere Stimmen liefern.
Statt auf die Umsetzung des #CEAS (zu dem man kritisch stehen kann) zu warten, wird wieder mal etwas über's Knie gebrochen und "schnell schnell" Aktionismus vor Ratio gestellt = Populismus auf Kosten Europas, man darf auf die Rechtsprechung gespannt sein.
