This is "Cherhill" by Walter Steggles from his post-war work, most likely the late 1970s or early to mid 1980s. At the time, Wally was living in Bradford-on-Avon & he painted extensively in & around that part of West Wiltshire #WalterSteggles #Cherhill #Wiltshire #EastLondonGroup

3/3 of years, old. Cherhill is still kept bright by local volunteers who re-chalk it every few years.

The walk felt like a little time machine: earth, history and a cheeky mole for company.
