Countless rock pillars, or “hoodoos” stretch against the horizon in the foreground and in the distance. The sky is mostly cloudy with bits of sun streaming through. Another mountain range is seen in the far distance. The hoodoos were caused by a cataclysmic volcano eruption 27 million years ago. Over time, water and ice caused erosions and fissures that created the rock formations.
