It would also tie into some of the lore you can find about how Verso can be heavily injured but stitches himself back together eventually. Him and Renoir both require chroma to heal but having Verso take it from everything around him introduces a risk/reward system

Instead of having Verso auto-raise after a set amount of turns, I think they should have leaned into the chroma aspect. Once he dies, a countdown begins, and if the battle isn't won by the time it ends, he absorbs chroma from enemies AND allies to revive, dealing massive damage

This is something I've been thinking about for a while, but I wish Sandfall had done more with Verso's immortality. Considering how much inspiration they already took from Lost Odyssey, tweaking the auto-revival mechanic would have been a neat gameplay reinforcement
#ClairObscurSpoilers aline's strength as a painter possibly gave lumierans more free will at first but it's fact that alicia is the weakest painter in the family, verso even has to help her repaint lune and sciel. she added some "they're going to agree with me" spice in there, intentional or not
