A small bouquet of flowers in roemer glass on a wood or stone surface. The largest flowers in the arrangement are a white peony and a pink cabbage rose. There are a couple of loose stems and petals sitting on the surface at the left of the artwork. Right in front of the vase, at the bottom middle of the painting, is a green grasshopper, depicted sideways, facing the right edge of the work. Between the grasshopper and the lower right corner is a little frog, also painted sideways, facing the grasshopper. Between the two creatures, also sitting on the hard surface, are three drops of water.
