A watercolor and bodycolor drawing of the life cycle of a frog. At bottom left is a green frog depicted from the side, facing the left edge of the artwork, mouth open to capture and eat a bug. Also depicted are freshly laid frog eggs, then moving up the page, the development by stages from tadpole into frog. Across the middle of the artwork is a vine-y blue flower. Above the plant are a small frog, a frog depicted head-on and slightly from above (which almost looks more like a crab than a frog), and a medium sized grayish frog depicted from the side, facing the left edge of the painting.

According to the object page on the BM website, “This attractive but very stylized watercolor of a duck does not match any known species.” The bird stands sideways, facing the left edge of the painting. It has a forest-green head, white breast, and a green back, with tannish feathers on the underside of the tail. Its wings are green with a little bit of white accent. It has a yellow bill and yellow-orangish feet.

A vertically rectangular print depicting a watermelon on a vine, on which sits a moth. A caterpillar crawls on the upper side of the watermelon rind. Some kind of egg sits near the top of the fruit, close to where it attaches to the vine. Elsewhere on the vine are two yellow flowers. A long lengthwise section - maybe a fifth to a quarter of the melon - is cut out to expose the pinkish fruit, black seeds, and white edges of rind.

Fijne film: #Metamorfose. 🦋
