The Clymene moth is a type of tiger moth that I’ve always wanted to make, but I didn’t have confidence in my ability to create moths with their wings closed. Finally decided to give it a try and I’m pretty pleased with the results. His name is Virgil 🖤

Clymeme Moth (Haploa clymene). Usually see it with forewings closed. This one gave me a nice peek of its hind wings. Common in eastern N. America Larvae overwinter. August 2024. NE US
