A very large abstract painting (I’m guessing about 150 x 250cm as that studio wall is 3m wide) Mostly yellow, on white primed linen canvas, with various tones of green in leaf-like abstract shapes, with curved marks scored through the surface layers The painting is stapled to a wooden plank wall, with many splatters of old paint on the main painting support area of another smooth type of timber. There is a lot of white powder on the floor (marble dust used to add texture in the oil and cold wax medium of this painting)

Me in my studio (middle aged white woman, with black glasses and white blonde hair) with the initial yellow layers on a large canvas stapled to the wall behind me and to my right. I am smiling into my phone camera. The painting comprises, so far, of sweeping curved marks, nearly vertical, but crossing each other, leaving a white unpainted oval shape of bare white-primed canvas just to the right of centre. There are also some umber and greenish marks in the surface.

This is an abstract painting with a textured white background and two dark dark shapes of black, brown and a touch of blue, reaching out to each other from the left and right sides. The point where they nearly touch is the focus of the painting.

Day 23 of #artadventcalendar. This is another oil and cold wax painting on paper. I used a piece of lace fabric that came with a bouquet of flowers to "stamp" on the lacey patterns.

A whimsical painting with a very sloped horizon of a sailboat coming into dock. All you can see of the sailboat is the sails and it is sailing nose-on into the dock which wouldn't be possible. There's a pale turquoise sky, deep turquoise water, the white sails of the boat, a grey dock and a grey dock post, and an orange pennant flag.

I'm an artist in British Columbia, Canada, working mostly in oil paint and cold wax these days. I paint mostly abstracts and abstracted landscapes. Here's an example of my work. This was a small one. I think it was 8x8 inches.
