A night photo with the foreground highlighted in red light (red light does not make one's eyes adjust too far out of being adapted to dark conditions). In the red foreground I am sitting roughly in the center atop a level rock wall with my legs crossed, facing right, and looking into the distance at a big comet with a tail near the right hand horizon. I'm wearing a baseball cap and a light colored jacket that reflects the red light. To the left and right of me on the rock wall are informational plaques about Mt St Helens, which is silhouetted on the horizon at far left. At the far right horizon are some silhouetted trees, and just above them a diagonal line of clouds under lit by distant light pollution. The comet is above the cloud line, and it's head and tail direction point to where the sun will rise later in the morning. The sky above the horizon is a gradient of a light gold color to the darker sky above that is filled with stars.

A stunning telescopic image of Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) captured in Brno, Czech Republic on July 10, 2020. The comet's majestic tails, a yellowish dust tail and a fainter bluish ion tail, stretch across the frame against a backdrop of sparkling stars. The image showcases the comet's impressive size and beauty, reminiscent of the Great Comet of 1997 (Hale-Bopp).

This stunning twilight photograph captures Comet C/2020 F3 (NEOWISE) streaking across the night sky, its luminous tail glowing against a deepening blue horizon. Below, a serene landscape features a still body of water reflecting the fading golden light of dusk. Silhouetted trees line the horizon, adding depth and grounding the celestial spectacle above. They said Comet NEOWISE wouldn’t return for another 6,800 years ☄️ So I grabbed my camera, loaded my Two Red Tabs backpack, and hit the road. Because this is different, a piece of the cosmos swinging by for one blink in time, and I wouldn’t miss it. #TravelPhotography #TwoRedTabs #CometNEOWISE
A stunning timelapse composite image of Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) arcing over the Swiss Alps near Bad Ragaz, captured from a webcam on July 12-13, 2020. The comet's path is visible as a series of streaks against the backdrop of a starry night sky and illuminated valley below. The image showcases the comet's apparent circular motion around the North Star as seen from the northern hemisphere.

A stunning long-exposure photograph of Comet NEOWISE (C/2020 F3) showcasing its unusual red sodium tail, alongside a blue ion tail and a white dust tail. Captured in Brittany, France, this image reveals the comet's vibrant colors against a backdrop of stars. The red tail, a rare phenomenon caused by sodium atoms released from the comet's nucleus, is a highlight of this celestial event.

A predawn photo of the sky, but that's not all! Across the top of the image are many small stars set against a deep blue sky which gradually turns to a gradient of pale yellows and orange of sunrise colors at the horizon toward the bottom of the image. On the far right, and down from the top of the image is the small bright constellation of The Pleiades, and much lower down toward the brightening horizon is the brilliant planet Venus. From the center of the image, and just up to the left is a bright streak of light, slanted down from left to right. That is the trail of the International Space Station over a few seconds of exposure, as it quickly crosses the sky. Below that, closer to the changing colors along the horizon is a ghostly baby blue, twisting cloud that stretches from the left of the image to about the center along the horizon. These are rare clouds very, very high in the atmosphere called "Noctilucent Clouds". (I will post a link to a wiki article on them in the comments) Almost hidden in the advancing dawn colors and the Noctilucent Clouds is a dash of brightness steeply tilted from right, to left. That is the Comet Neowise (Also an article in the comments). Below the horizon are low, getnly rolling hills as far as the eye can see, in a dull gold color of grasses, lit by the light of the Moon (the moon is not in the image frame). Also, along the horizon, and the the far left, is a large grouping of small red lights in the distance. Those are a huge number of safety lights atop electrical wind turbines.
Sunday = #Stunday! This image from July of 2020 left me stunned and laughing because it was just too much!

Our team unexpectedly captured Comet Neowise the morning of July 6, 2020. The comet had just appeared after a trip around the sun making UFO Seekers® some of the first individuals to capture the comet reappearing in the northern hemisphere. #cometneowise
