Redid the coloring with my old BenDay patterns. Looks so much better now. The dots still aren’t the size of the original, but there is a limitation with the resolution. Using my BenDay patterns certainly helps the look.

I thought the concept might catch on but it seems people wanted pure fanart rather than custom comics with them in them.

There are #comicbookdots, then there are #BenDaydots. They are not the same. BenDay came the late 19th c. Comicbook dots are from the early 20th c. BenDay was more versatile but required special skills where comicbook dots just required dexterity with knives and scissors. This 1 from my postcards.

The splash page to a 5-page story I did in Ditko style. Also colored with #cmyk dots. Based on the Quantum Leap idea of a person having strange adventures with time travel. I only did the one story. Based mostly on Ditko's late 50s/early 60s stories with Stan Lee.

This was one of the first #comicbookdots piece I did over a Ditko inking. The dots are larger than actual books, but that's due to the 300dpi printing limitation. Craftone dots were much denser. But it gets the idea across with only #cmyk.

During my #cmyk dot period, I created covers for public domain and original characters using #comicbookdots. This one was suggested by a friend and the panel was based on an #undergroundcomic of #captainguts. I never did the actual comix. It was hand-inked before the #digitalcolors

Rain-2019
A combination of #9panelpage, #ditko inks, and #cmyk #comicbookdots. This is one of the styles I want to return to. They have no dialogue but the story unfolds in 9 parts. Most of Ditko's 9-panel pages were in the early 1960s in those 5-page stories with Stan Lee.
