A creamy white coral mushroom. Whitish stalks, branching in a rounded U shape. The tips are blunt, sometimes starting to branch again. It grows in the duff, among evergreen needles, beside a black, well-rotted Douglas-fir cone, still identifiable by the "rat-tail" projections below each scale.
