Ravens like to pick up shiny objects (stones? Metal?) and glittering bits of trash, right? Do they create a cache or caches of such objects? What do they do with them?

I had a personal chat with one of my neighbors. After I paid my daily peanut toll this one decided to hang around longer. We sat about 10ft/3m apart and just talked for several minutes.
