During my Saturday walk, I was lucky enough to spot the endangered Fringed-Helmet Orchid, #Corybas fimbriatus!
As you can see from the photos, that's a very #small #orchid!!
A trio of small and strange flowes of corybas or helmet orchids in various stages of development. On the right in the front is the oldest, completely opened flower. On the left, the flower is in the process of opening. In the back, the flower is still closed and growing. The flower of this Corybas pictus has 4 spurs, though on each side.
It's springtime, and it's time for Corybas orchids to bloom!

天下一植物界で入手したコリバス
開花しました。
ピクタスかと思いましたが、花弁内側の白い部分には薄っすら赤い輪のような模様が入り、鳥のエサが餌を求めて口を開けているように見える。更に頭頂部の傘状の弁にはストライプ状の赤い模様が入っている。
