This cosmic marvel is approximately 1400 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus.

A vast emission nebula made up of glowing gas and dust, with shades of orange, red, and dark blue. A star cluster is visible in the center of the rose shape of the large cloud. Despite the rosette name, it also somewhat resembles the facial features of a skull.

The great Orion Nebula with its large cloud of dust and gas in a shield/clamshell shape. Shades of orange, red, light gray, and black are surrounded by numerous stars, a small portion of the Running Man nebula is visible kitty-corner to the upper left of it.
