Philamaitos: #sludgepit The Premise: Sammy, the owner and operator of an underground speakeasy, is the illegitimate son of a prominent, AWOL Chicago mobster. The boss of the same family has died and he finds himself now embroiled in a power vacuum that threatens to destabilize the entire city. To make matters worse, he’s next in line to the Luminary eldership. Relying on James, a rogue Triarii who is more loyal to the task of maintaining his claim on his blood doll Sammy than his own organization, Sammy must keep his head above the subterfuge as the second-in-line to the eldership sets him in his sights and refuses to ignore the one obstacle in his path to the top. The Dynamic: Sammy wound his fingers around the dog tags and used them like a leash to close the meager distance between them. He hovered his lips a scant inch from James’ jaw. “There’s something to be said for your… initiative, James.” “Now I know that ain't a compliment.” “You sure about that?" James grimaced even as he allowed himself to be pulled closer, Sammy’s thigh slotting into place like a batter sliding home. “Coming from you? Almost definitely.”
