I love this monster idea and I think they might be real around my house it’s so heavily wooded that deer give little warning before destroying your Subaru

Three drawings of the same deer monster, a Crossed Deer, which appears to be a jet black deer monster with empty yellow eyes, a gaping maw and yellow hooves. The first drawing is of a deer crossing sign that looks mostly normal, except it has a visible eye and mouth. The second drawing is of the Crossed Deer leaping from the sign, and the third drawing is of the Crossed Deer standing in the middle of a road. The image has text over it, which reads as follows: Crossed Deer: Appears as a mostly normal deer crossing sign. A couple things are off about it, but those details can't be seen at a distance unless you're really looking for them. When its prey approaches, the Crossed Deer leaps from the sign and becomes a full-sized deer, leaving behind a blank yellow sign. After leaping from the sign, it will block the road, forcing the driver to either hit it or swerve to miss it. If the driver hits it, the Crossed Deer will consume the entirety of the vehicle, driver and all.

A monster idea that came to me while we were driving through mountain roads in the dark! What charming, totally-not-dangerous fellows. I'm looking forward to doing more with them in the future!
