Introducing #dev2days! A thing I'm committing to in the spirit of #devtober but even less of a jam. The minimum is to post what your working on every 2 days. The rest is whatever your reasonable amount of gamedev work time is for LONG TERM. More in comments for ideas.

#devtober was great and kept me inspired to work every day even though I have chronic health issues and often had to work from bed.
#indiegamedev is so fun. I realise how much I dont know and still have to learn too - which is exciting.

Wanted to finish with something visual, and luckily I found a nice tutorial on how to implement blinking with blendshapes by @evepaints_ -- linked below.
The Shannon model was a commission last year from k_catz on fiverr, briefly shown to the Quest 64 discord.
#devtober day 31 - It felt appropriate to finish this by finally using my environment art for what I meant it for. The intro animation scene storyboard. I didn't NEED to all of it for this, but all of it had some hand in figuring stuff. I'll try and to the postmortem stuff tomorrow.

#devtober day 30 - easier ik look for npcs
There were 2 previous attempts with this with the newer Rigging system, but I learned today that there is just a built-in function for this on the default animator object. Way simpler and just takes a few seconds to set up.
#devtober day 30 - I tried improving the composition with more trees. Idk if its better, I'll have to do something else and come back to it to see it, but for now I did too much beat saber and this is as much as could do before I hurt.
Final sprint for #Devtober, give me the perseverance to complete this part! Give me the patience and the honor.

#devtober day 29 - working on this scenic shot still. The left felt empty so I tried adding some trees. I sketched a foreground tree to see if i liked it for composition and I'm still not sure.
#devtober day 29 - more blocking and camera work
The stairwell areas are blocked with the lua data, and the stencil issue was just a typo somewhere. The last camera issue is handling collision and closeness, and figuring out why the npcs now talk to you while pouting.

#devtober day 28, the jam's finished so I've gotta call it finished(ish). There's a lot more I wanted to do but I think that's always the case for game jams. Got some friends doing this one so I'll link the whole jam page :)
#devtober day 28 - blocking and door issues
Adjusted the animation / IK stuff to play nicely with doors and the new 30 fps sim stuff, but the denser layouts are inviting problems with the stencil door trick from last year.
#devtober day 28 - found another uncolored sketch, this one has more going on so I tried to figure out as much as i could in the time so i didn't switch colors so i could mostly get stuff like values close. So its like... grayscale but not gray. Greenscale? sure why not.
