Digital cel-shaded art of a wibbly wobbly Dickinsonia, a weird wobbly lifeform from before the Cambrian era. It looks like a floppy frisbee with bilateral lines sectioning its body into many gelatinous ribs. It lives underwater surrounded by fleshy ‘plants’, including orange charnia with spots and neon green hylaecullulus. Since I’ve interpreted Dickinsonia as a transparent creature, the other life forms can be fuzzily seen through its body. This little scene is set on an isometric square chunk of sandy seafloor. Day 6: Dickinsonia

Absolutely no one:
The Ediacaran: Flesh plants. Flesh plants! Great wobbling frisbee beasts! Flesh plants—

Pěticentimetrová oválná věcička zvaná Dickinsonia prošla svým slzavým údolím na mořském dně. Tam také uhynula; bez povšimnutí, protože nebylo, kdo by si jí všímal. O zhruba půl miliardy let později se tatáž věcička stala celebritou. A až dnes víme, co byla vlastně zač.
Tón: : mírně negativní […]
The image portrays an unamed dickinsonia character in five different expressions. He is a flat circular character that is beige with a pink star in his center. He has simple dot eyes and a mouth. The top left expression is smug, the top left has him smiling with a cat-like mouth (like this :3) The center has him smiling with his mouth partially open, but also shows his full body. The bottom one has him smiling completely, like this :D.
Day 4 of the #october roulette, this time, its an unamed oc that is based on the #dickinsonia! I don't have too much info about him, only that he was a friend of galacta knight. #kirbyoc #kirby #oc #paleoart (kinda?)

My 25 years of palaeoart chronology...
Finishing the day with a little Dickinsonia model, built for MUSE Museum, Trento, Italy, in 2018. This is one of my favourite Ediacaran fossils.
